SHELLEY – KITCHEN AND LAUNDRY REMODEL

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Clive and Nicoletta had a small, asked us to remodel their kitchen .

Because we added the extra bathroom and toilet with their ensuite addition, we were able to utilise the 1m of space that was taken up by the WC in the laundry next door to the kitchen. By removing this dividing wall, we were able to make the kitchen 1m wider, whilst not taking away any space from the Laundry.

To also make the kitchen area larger, we removed the out dated curved archway leading into the kitchen, and we also redesigned the passageway leading into the kitchen with a 45 degree wall modification, funnelling the occupants out into what appears to be a much larger space.

After numerous consultation, and taking our advice on best practice methods and practical design, we were able to get started on delivering our clients their dream kitchen.

Examples of the extra lengths we go to here at Apollo Improvements includes, but is not limited to:

Waterproofing of penetrations, splashback and wall to floor junctions. Although not commonly done in kitchens, we do it as standard as part of our best practice approach to all construction. We continued this through into the Laundry also. If there ever was a water leak due to a burst pipe, water will not be able to penetrate through the masonry walls, and wick upwards and through surrounding wall surfaces.
